The Pregnant Womb

I didn't realize what I had in the photograph until I saw it on the computer screen.

For me Lamb's Ear, the name of the full-leaf plant, connotates an element of infancy and innocents on it's own. Add to that the shape created by the morning sun and I can only think of the pregnant womb when I see this piece. There is a softness and tenderness to the light that was lost on me when I was so focused on composition and design. This one is a true favorite.

Light of the Womb

“... in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.”~Holy Bible
