Homesick

I am fascinated by light and how it plays on shapes and creates new and interesting shadow shapes. I went to work early this particular morning and just happened to have my camera with me. My husband wasn't around to be embarrassed as I once again crawled around on the ground getting at the pine cone from every angle.

Apparently I was cause for a bit of concern, however. A colleague saw me lying there and thought something was the matter with me. I can't say there's nothing the matter with me, but I was physically fine ;}

This little pine cone seemed so out of place in the harshness of the cold cement, I was glad to see he had a little pine needle for a friend.

Cement Pine Cone

"I come home to my solitary woodland walk as the homesick go home."

Striking! That is almost like the Bokeh that PW is featuring this week!
