Good Moves

My son is a senior and we are nearing the end of wrestling season. I have spent every Thu-Sat since November sitting on bleachers 8 hours a day watching wrestling. Needless to say, it’s been difficult to accomplish a great amount on a three-day week.

I do have some fun photos of wrestling, however, which I will be posting over the next several days. The human body is an amazing thing. In addition to watching wrestling as a sport, I often find myself simply admiring the human form.

I’ll update my painting(s) in my next few posts as well.

Dallas pinned his opponent in about 20 seconds. It was a fantastic win because this dual is a 27-year-old tradition called "The Battle of the Bell". Our school won this year for the first time in 7 years. It was a great victory for my son his senior year! (This picture was actually taken by his teacher, but I couldn't help posting it)

Rolling him over for a pin

Sometimes I think the term "pull your head out" originated with wrestling

It's not always easy to tell who's winning. The man on top is not necessarily the one in control.

What exactly is that ref looking at?!?!!?

Pulling those shoulders to the mat

Going for the take down
