Facing the Facts

Okay... I am not a total slacker! Summer is such a crazy time. Every day I think I will get a chance to paint, and then so many things come up. This week, however, the business should level out.

In the midst of preparing for the Artisan Gallery grand opening I was able to get a few painting sessions in. I am also working on a commission piece that has taken far more prep work than I anticipated. So there has been a lot of hours going on behind the scenes.

Enough of the excuses. Here is two sessions worth of work on his face. I'm really pleased with what I have so far. Obviously there is more to be done, but I think that the features and expression are coming through accurately. So stay tuned and there will be more to see this week!
