Clutter

In Girl Arranging Her Hair Cassatt kept the painting very simplistic, almost symbolic of the day and time in which she lived. Our day and time is much more cluttered with things that matter not at all, things that do matter, and things that matter most. Perhaps the clutter of our times can be represented even in the clutter of bathroom countertops.
