This particular woman said that her favorite way to reward or pamper herself was to get her nails done. Again we have the issue of sexy. Does she choose fancy nails to impress her man, to impress other women socially, or for the simple self-pleasure? I didn't ask her, she didn't say. It is for each of us to answer for ourselves, I suppose.
No matter how you look at it though, women do tend to enjoy being pampered. If it's not nails it's manicures, pedicures, bubble baths, massages, facials, hair-dos, etc. There is simply something self-satisfying about sitting back and letting someone or something else do the work while you receive the physical pleasure of the moment.
Our little lady is getting her first manicure while she watches and listens in on the conversation between a woman getting a pedicure and the technician. She is learning to value herself enough to take care of herself. She's watching the interaction and learning the benefit of talking out daily matters, even though they may be trivial. She's experiencing the same things as she visits with her own technician and picks out the nail color that will be the best for her.
