Symphony in Red

This shirt was so much fun to paint! It was a matter of finding the right shadow shade of red, deepening the deepest shadows, adding some greens where the light was hitting just right, and my favorite is popping in the highlights at the very end.

This painting is (in the technical aspect) all about the light and shadows. I'm having so much fun with it. It's amazing to add a simple stroke of color and suddenly see light shining on fabric. Too much fun!

(I was just looking at the preview of this post. I hope it looks better on your computer than it does on mine. I guarantee it looks better on the canvas.)
