Dad

As with Junior, it took a long time to get to this stage. I have a nice recognizable human form, but not a real likeness of the subject. But, this is layer one.

As I was thinking about this blog I thought about the title "Moving On" because that is the process I have decided to try. Instead of obsessing (yes I know, this is a stretch for me) over each figure until I can't work anymore, I am going to try moving on to the next one and then going back each day to work just a little more on the previous ones.

Then I thought of the parallel to life. Each day moves on, but we sometimes obsess over things until we are stuck. I'm working on moving on in my life and maybe that's why I'm ready to try this new approach in my painting. We'll see how it goes. For now, here's Dad...
