Meet Lydia

Lydia lives in a very fear-based world. Her past has been the worst. She remembers just enough to never trust the world, but not enough to understand that it is not her fault. She is the truest victim. If the other girls can leave this place of terror and bring her along, they may be able to become strong enough to help her feel somewhat safe. But the reality is that she will probably never feel secure in her world.

Gratefully, most people don't have a full-blown Lydia. But each of us has experienced trauma of some sort or another. Each of us has some element of our lives where we return to past fears or emotions that affect our present reactions and decisions. The more we become aware of these parts and accept them for what they are, the less we have to fear the future.

Lydia came together quite quickly. Again, this is the first draft. She'll develop more, but I'm pleased with the initial application.
