Our show statement and our armor
Ashlee - "Masks In My Closet"
Arlene - "Oblivious"
Panel A - We wanted to create a unified feel to the exhibit so originally decided to frame each piece in metal. In the end the best solution turned out to be panels of sheet metal acting as a mat behind the pieces.
Kaylee - "Worry"
Mekele - "Why Can't I Hide?"
Holly - "Cutting Myself Down"
Photos (by Ashlee) of armor reinforced the theme of "A Chink In My Armor"
Shanalee - "Hidden Thorns"
Caitlyn - "How does one sit in the midst of danger and sleep?"
Karen - "Self Destruction" framed with metal
Panel B
Everyone made cookies for the Reception. Oh, the anticipation!
Studying "Self Destruction"
The Intrinsic RewardGrowth doesn't come in the doing, it comes in the reflection. It is only in looking back at what we've done that we realize what we've learned and how we've grown. The Reception was that moment for my students. It was the moment they saw all of their work come together and to be able to share it with others and feed off the responses they received. I was so pleased with them!
