Supplication
oil on canvas
30"x40"
completed 12/1/08 12:30 p.m.
I will tell the "story behind the story" in a day or two. For now I would love to know your reactions to the completed piece, your questions, and any general comments.
Thanks for sharing this with me. It is the first painting that I have been disappointed to finish. I just wanted there to be more to paint.
BUT... I have already completed the first photo shoot for my next painting. It will be called The Rescue. So come back for more on Supplication and to see The Rescue come to pass.

It's truly amazing! The deatials were so fun to watch - the wood in the chair, the jewels in the crown.

This is a beautiful painting. I do not see any reason you should be disappointed in it. You caught every little detail needed, the baby, the king, the knight, even the curtains. It's absolutely incredible.

This is stunning. Thank you for sharing your talent. I'm blown away by the details and the eye you have for light and color.
Great painting! Rich in color, and I love the soft-focus texture; it really makes for a sombre tone, which it seems you would be going for. I look forward to seeing more.
