Julie is the care taker. She's young. Not nearly old enough to have responsibility for all the girls. But there is no one else. Julie doesn't have the maturity or skills to meet the emotional needs of each girl. She is often overwhelmed by the requirements that have fallen to her by default. While she cares very much about the girls and does her best, she simply can't do it all.
We all need others in our lives to help us fill our needs. When we are young our parents are meant to fill that role. When parents are absent - mentally, physically, emotionally &/or spiritually - we often grow up with major voids. It is difficult to allow others to fill those voids when we have never had those needs met. It is almost impossible to fill them ourselves. It can be overwhelming to find balance in our lives when we have never acquired the skills to do so.

Julie and the baby came together fairly well. There is still much about the image that is unclear, but those details will be worked out in stages. The model had a difficult time maintaining an anxious expression so I'm anticipating that my biggest challenge on this figure will be tweaking the facial features.
