A Long Day

Believe it or not, I have at times been accused of being stubborn. Yesterday I decided I was going to get both canvases blocked in. It only took about eight hours :} That's an awfully long day when it comes to painting. I could have stopped when I became fatigued, instead I just kept painting, and painting, and painting, and painting.

I've been working on a 5'x3' figure painting for the past few months so it's been a while since I started a new painting. I forgot how much paint it takes to cover a canvas! And, I forgot how exhausting and intensive it is to do something so basic as blocking in.

HOWEVER... I'm very pleased with the end result. I think it's a good indication that the composition is nice and that the painting will be bold and vibrant.

Today's goal is to work on whatever feels right for as long as it feels right:P
